Stephen King - the master of horrors

There is beyond doubt that Stephen King rules..... as far as creating horrors is concerned. I would like to recommend you his books because I think his talent is amazing but at the same time lots of people do not appreciate his work...
Stephen King is not as scary as it may seem:) We should remember that his books are only fiction. I'm sure you know 'The Green Mile', either the book or the film. It's a very touching story about a black man condemned to death unjustly. And in spite of the fact that it's Stephen King's book it's not so appaling. There are more books written by Stephen King which are worth recommendation. Among these are: 'The dark half', 'Salem's Lot', 'Cujo' or 'Misery'. By writing books, King wants to hand down a lot of ideas or show examples of moral behaviors. His books are real page-turners. If you start reading, you can't put it down. There are many film adaptaion of his novels. Almost each book has its own film version.
Stephen King has a great talent. He writes novels, non-fiction, poems, essays and short stories. He says that he has not got any problems with creating new plots. He just thinks, sits down and write. He is the MASTER:)
If you feel encouraged you can visit some websites devoted to Stephen King. Here are examples: www.stephenking.com or www.horrorking.com

A day in the future

As I see the future I imagine myself as a typical Polish teacher... I came to TTC in order to deal with children at schools :) So let's imagine my typical day...
I wake up at 6 o'clock in the morning. As always I take a shower and later on I eat a braekfast with my lovely dog. I have always wanted to have a dog only for myslef :) he would be called Ludwik :) After breakfast, I go out to take my car and drive to the primary school in my small town. Children are greeting me with smiles. They are whispering: 'Oh, Miss Agnieszka. We love her' :) I spend eight hours at school, trying to hand over my knowledge which was gained in TTC with difficulty... I think everyday: 'Was it worth to slog and now teach these children? Why am I paid a pittance?' But bad thoughts run away quickly. As I finish lessons I go shopping and come back home. Preparing a dinner, I want to relax after a hard day. After the dinner I watch TV, surf the Net and then I have to sit and correct pupils' tests. What a torment... But in the evening I go out to meet with my friends. We are talking, laughing and the world are becoming more beautiful:) Before I go to bed I take my dog for a short walk. As I'm lying down, sweet sounds of classical music surround me. I'm thinking about the next day. It will be better for sure :)

St. Valentine's Day

Today is a special day... Special for those who are loved or who are in love with somebody. Just look around... Shops are full of chocolate hearts, red balloons and different decorations. People buy flowers and they want to surprise their partners with something special. For sure a lot of lovers are spending the evenings on parties, in cinemas or together at home. When I look around and see those pairs, smile appears on my face itself. It is fantastic that our small world has something big and strong- LOVE. In spite of wars, conflicts and some others problems, love has got such a power that many people are not aware of it. I think that every person has their own destined partner who live somewhere in the world. It depends only on our will if we find our partner or not. I am still waiting for my love and I believe that finally I will find a person who can be worth of trust... And actually I am not celebrating St. Valentine's Day but I hope that I will start doing it soon:)

Happy Valentine's Day to everybody!:)

Obama rules:)

To be honest, I'm not really interested in politics but the latest news shouldn't be left unanswered. Everybody knows that America plays an important role in international politics. So the change of American president is not only important for Americans but also for the rest of the world. In my opinion, Obama stands for a change. He is the first American president who is not white. Obama stated that he would improve the American economy and he would take actions to fight with terrorism. Will he keep his promises? Actually, I do not know the answer. Mabye, he was telling lies like the rest of politicians nowadays... Poles are curious about the issue of visas and they hope that the new president will make it easier to travel to the USA. We are all waiting for a CHANGE;)

Teaching practice

We all know that teacher's job is not very easy. Teachers must meet all requirements, be patient, and of course have a flair for this job... I came to the college, because I have always wanted to be a teacher. I have already begun my practice at school in September. Firstly, there were observations. I was really terrified when I was thinking that I have to teach those children. Everyone looked at me as if I was an alien. But I remember my first lesson, which I gave. It was at primary school. The topic of the lesson was family. I prepared my own family tree to show it to the students. They were very interested in the lesson. I think that the lesson was successful. The students were not bored. I could see smiles on their faces. After that lesson I realized that teaching does not hurt:) It can be really satisfying. I hope that in the future I will be a good teacher.

Christmas:)

Unfortunately it is not my Christmas tree...

Hello everyone:) How was your Christmas? Was it like eating, eating and eating?:)
I spent my Christmas with my family at home. I was glad that I could devote my time to my siblings and parents. So far I have been so busy that I couldn't even talk to them... But during Christmas we have made up for the lost time. We have talked a lot, played some family games, watched TV and... sung Christmas carols:) I wish Christmas was not once a year...

My childhood:)

When I could play the keyboard long time ago...

With my brother Karol:)

As I am sitting now in front of the computer, I Have an impression that my childhood was so long ago... The computers were not so popular... Everything was so easy. As far as Christmas is concerned, I think that nothing has changed... As usually I am waiting for Santa Claus, aren't you?;) When I was a child I helped my mother with Christmas preparations in the kitchen. I remember that I have always decorated our Chrismas tree with baubles, chains and candles... My brother helped me with it. Now he thinks that it is childlish. During Christmas my family and I went to my aunt to sit and talk, and of course EAT;) I remember that When I was 10, I realized that Santa actually does not exist. I caught my mother when she packed presents for me and my siblings. I was so dissapointed that I was crying all the evening...:) I wish I was a child one again...

With my sister Eva:)
